A Florida native, Carson attended Florida State University, where he majored in Hospitality Management and discovered the unique rhythm and excitement of the service industry. Eager to advance his knowledge in hospitality and fine dining, Carson took advantage of additional courses including Wine & Culture and Food & Culture. The Jefferson at The Omni Homestead in Hot Springs, Viriginia came calling and Carson enthusiastically led the team with integrity as their Restaurant Manager. And while the COVID-19 Pandemic struck many fine-dining restaurants including The Jefferson, Carson remained optimistic and fine-tuned another vital skill within the polished service industry - wine.


Total Wine served as the perfect learning environment and launching pad for Carson, as he quickly discovered his exceptional palate for wine and spirits. "I find it fascinating that something so simple can be so vastly, globally impactful, while simultaneously never being the exact same. The same base for a wine in France can also be the same base for a wine in California, and both are astonishingly different. Both have completely contrasting stories. I want to learn that story and convey it to guests as they sip, savor, and understand the heart behind what they are being served." Carson is especially excited to implement this skill on the floor of Ravello Ristorante as Restaurant Manager.


Carson's favorite quote is by John Ciardi, who says, "Fermentation and civilization are inseparable." Outside of work, Carson enjoys fishing, golf, and astronomy.
